The Sonic lodge caters for all recording needs with dedicated recording spaces for live bands, vocal recording, mixing and mastering, housing a selection of state-of-the art-analogue and digital equipment. There is also a selection of instruments available for use upon request.

Equipment list:
Two dedicated audio workstations running Cubase C4, Wavelab 6, various softsynths and RME hardware / preamps.
Soundcraft and Yamaha digital mixing consoles
Focusrite / Joemeek / TL audio and Lexion outboard
Microphones including Neumann U89, Octava MK012s, SCT2000 valve condenser and a selection from Rode, Shure and AKG.
Event and Rogers Monitoring.

Instruments available including Rhodes Stage 73 Mark 2, Fender 75 Jazz bass, Jon Shuker custom five string bass, Ibanez S classic, Fernandes Les Paul and Lowden 025 acoustic guitars, Mapex drum kit with selection of cymbals and snares and amplification from Trace Elliot, Line 6 and Fender and Marshall.

Production
We has a strong emphasis on music production with in house producers experienced in many styles of music from Folk, Rock, Funk, Jazz and soul to hip-hop and electronica. We can provide full instrumentation for your music and have access to many of Edinburgh’s best session musicians.
